Edward Watkins of Ballymodan. Married Jane Poole by licence in 1632. He obtained land from Phane Becher and on his death also had a house in Bristol. An Abstract of the will of Edward Watkins of Ballymodan, Gent, dated March 28, 1642 stated the following:
To Jane Watkins my wife all the lands she had from her former husband, my stock, yoke of oxen and my house in Bandonbridge To Joseph Poole my son in law the lands which I bought of Robert Woodrake To John Poole my son in law (after William Sealock, Mr Mansfield and John Berry are satisfied) the remainder of Mr John Minitt’s bond To Mr Thos Wright 20/- for my funeral sermon To Robert Watkins my kinsman, to Ann Watkins my kinswoman stg 10 owing to me by John Smith of Bandon and the stg 6 due to me from William Ryecraft and stg 5 due from Rich fforde. To Robert Watkins my kinsman a house in Bristol Executor Robert Watkins Overseers. Mr Thos Bursom and Thomas Poole Witnesses Thos Poole and Peter Taylor Proved at Cork 23rd February 1642-3
Jane Stock was a widow once again and quite a rich widow. She took as her third husband a Mr Haward or Howard but it is not known who exactly he was. Her only children were the Pooles. She outlived her eldest son and was still alive in 1659
