A Selection of old Photos donated by researchers

The following photos have been kindly donated to the site by Kathleen Lizotte Lynde.  They were given to her by her grand uncle, Stephen DeCourcey who was born in 1892 and died in 1985.  Stephen grew up on Oliver Plunket Street and was the son of Patrick DeCourcey and Mary Chambers. Please click on the photos to see an enlarged version!  The photos were taken by N.T. Joseph Morris (1829-1914) was the relieving officer of the Bandon Union and was a son of Thomas Morris, farmer, of Clancool Mor.  In 1846 he lived on Cavendish Quay (now St Patricks Quay) and was at that time a pawn broker on South Main St.  He married Catherine Charlotte Jennings and had six children, one of whom was Lizzie.

Lizzie Morris (1866-1964). A daughter of Joseph.  Lived at 13 Cavendish Quay (St Patricks Quay).  Worked for the Wright sisters, haberdashers.  In 1911 was acting relieving officer for the Bandon Union
