Bandon Informary. Annual Subscribers 1807 |
The Subscriptions to this Charitable Institution
being scarcely sufficient, and to supply the
medicines ordered by the outpatients, who are
attended in the Town and Neighbourhood; it is
humbly hoped, that the humane Public will not
suffer an Establishment to decay, the object
of which is to administer Medical Relief to
Poverty in the hour of its deepest
Affliction; when languishing on its miserable
straw, under the accumulated Pressure of
Sickness and Want. Persons received into the
Infirmary are not only provided with Medicine
and Proper Attendance but are also, while under
Cure supplied with Food and Nourishment at
the expense of the Institution; and out of the
Infirmary Hundreds of unfortunate Beings,
unknown to the Subscribers, and whose only
Recommendation is their Wretchedness, are every
Year relieved through this Charity. It
is requested of the Subscribers to recommend
none but Surgical Patients to the beds, as they
are calculated solely for Objects of that
