Some Memoranda of Apprenticeships in Bandon in the 1700s

 Indenture between Abraham Richard son of John Richard and George Cole and his wife for seven years to assist him in linen weaving registered the 19th July 1760

 Joseph Geler son of Thomas Geler deceased apprenticed to George Sealy Esq for seven years to learn the art of wool combing indenture dated the 22nd day of July 1783  Registered 10th day of August 1784

 William Morgan son of Robert Morgan apprenticed to George Sealy Esq for seven years to learn the art of wool combing  indenture dated the 22nd day of July 1783 registered 10th day of August 1784

 Jonathan Bassett son to “Jonathan Bassett deceased  Bound an apprentice to Thomas Biggs Junior   This 19th day of November 1779 to serve seven years

Richard Daunt Popham son to Anne Popham  To Thomas Biggs aforesaid from the 9th day of November 1779
For 7 years indenture dated the 15th March, 1780

Indenture of apprenticeship between Robert Lisson son of Rob Lisson and William R and Catherine his wife by;whom he doth bind himself for seven years to said William R and Catherine from the Indenture dated 24th Day of June 1771.

Indenture of apprenticeship between Leonard Duke Alinhear son of Edward Duke Alinhear of Bandon victulers by which so doth bind himself for the term of seven years to Duke Alinhear his father and Mary his mother to Learn said Edward the fathers art which he now useth  Registered in pursuant to a law in said Borough this 1st day of March 1766.  Arthur Bernard and ?

 Ditto Between John Regan son of John Regan of East Gully to John Rogers of Sugar Lane Linen Weaver seven years dated the 24th June 1775 registered 5th October 1775

 Ditto Between Lewis Good son of Thomas Good decesased to his grand father William Lewis for seven years to learn woollcombing and double worsted weaving.  Indenture dated 25th of  December 1768 and registered 10th march 1769

Ditto John Callahan grandson of William Lewis bound apprentice to George Sealy Esq for the term of seven years commence from the 25th day of March 1775.  Date of Indenture 4th Day of March 1775.  Registered the 25th day of June 1775.

 Rob Lisson son of Rob Lisson bound apprentice to William ? and Catherine his wife for seven years to learn shoe making Indenture Dated 24th June 1772

 William Parrott son of John Parrott to William ? and Catherine his wife To learn shoe making bound seven years indenture dated 2nd July 1766 

March 16th Jonas (iona?) Bassett son to Jonas Bassett deceased bound apprentice to Thomas Biggs Junior to serve seven years.  Indenture dated 19th November 1779

Do  Richard Daunt Popham son to Ann Popham to Thomas Biggs Junior from 16th November, 1779.  Indenture dated 15th March 1780 for seven years.

 Indenture between Benjamin Hosford son of John Hosford bound to Jonathan Wheeler of Bandon to learn the art of combing and cambled weaving.  Bound for seven years.  Indenture dated July 24th 1761  registered 10th October, 1761
